Sour Appletini Cocktail/Mocktail Recipe

This deliciously refreshing drink is perfect for celebrating with green during the month of March and is a fun way to dance into notes of Spring. It only takes a few ingredients and is quick and easy to make when you want to enjoy crisp and sweet apple flavors in a traditional martini form.

I N G R E D I E N T S

· 2.5 oz (5 tbsp) of vodka

· 1.75 oz (3.5 tbsp) of sour apple pucker liqueur (sour apple schnapps works well too!)

· .25 oz (.5 tbsp) lemon juice

· .5 oz (1 tbsp) of triple sec (or simple syrup)

for the rim

· 1 lemon

· 1 cup white sugar

· 2 drops of green food coloring

(you could also just use Apple Cocktail Sugar if you wanted to purchase that instead!)

Want to make it a Mocktail?

Replace the vodka with Apple Juice and the Sour Apple Pucker with Granny Smith Apple Syrup

*you probably won’t need the triple sec or simple syrup in this mocktail version due to the sweetness of apple juice and the apple syrup*

D I R E C T I O N S

Rim your glass with the green sugar (detailed instructions on how to do this below)
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice
Add all ingredients to your shaker
Shake it up
Pour into your glass
Enjoy!

R I M T H E G L A S S W I T H S U G A R

Make (or purchase) your green sugar
To make your sugar, put 1 cup of white sugar in a bowl that has a lid. Drop 2 drops of green food coloring in and put the lid on. Shake it up and add color or sugar until you get the green you want!
To rim the glass, pour the sugar on a small plate
Slice your lemon into a wedge and cut a slit in the fruit side of the lemon
Run it around the edge of the glass
Dip the top of the glass into the sugar
That’s it! You’re a pro!
